
LEVE Black College Scholarships is Interfaculty Regional Research at the University of Oslo organized by the Centre for Development and Environment (SUM), whose purpose is to strengthen the University of Oslo regional and interdisciplinary expertise in defined core areas related to health and livelihoods in developing countries. LEVE focuses on the dynamics between livelihoods and environmental change, particularly the challenge of climate change, increased migration, urbanization, and changes in global governance, and its effect on patterns of poverty, health and disease.

Black College Scholarships are directed at candidates in the stage of writing their Masters program. Applicants from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will align with their thesis research themes.They LEVE table space will be allocated at the Centre for Development and Environment (SUM). A Black College Scholarships limited amount of support in LEVE activities, such as the arrangement of seminars and workshops and other tasks related to activities LEVE, would be expected.
